About this gathering

In the deep of winter we gather on a cedar-lined mountainside thirty minutes north of Cedar City — twenty acres, a house of private suites, three bunk rooms and an open attic lounge, and a heated barn for the sessions. One kitchen, one long table, one fire.

January is a deliberate choice. The year is new, the world is quiet, and the mountain is cold. What is left is what we came for: scripture opened slowly, doctrine taught plainly, worship, and the long conversations that only happen when people stay in the same house for three nights.

Adults are welcome, with youth twelve and over when a parent registers with them and shares their suite. Families, friends and couples may share the beds within their purchased suite. Come on your own and take your own bed in the men's or women's room. Individual bunk and floor beds are never shared. Sunday closes with worship and a sacrament-style meeting before we drive home.

Getting here: Parowan sits just off I-15 at about 6,000 feet, so expect cold and expect snow. From the Wasatch Front it is three to three and a half hours by car; flying, most people come through Las Vegas (about three hours away) or Cedar City (thirty minutes). Bring warm layers, boots that handle snow, and your scriptures.

Getting yourself here is your own arrangement. We will open a WhatsApp group where people can offer and ask for rides, and we will help where we can — but we cannot guarantee anyone a ride, and every guest is responsible for their own travel to and from Cedar Rose Estate.

Still to come, and marked TBD until it is settled: the itinerary, who is teaching, and what to bring. Everything a registered guest needs is emailed as it is decided, and again before the gathering.

Arriving: Overnight guest check-in is Thursday, January 28, 2027 at 5 PM. Please do not arrive before then. Day-pass arrival details, including Saturday check-in, will be emailed before the gathering. The address and remaining arrival details go out by email before the gathering.

Questions

Before you book.

A few of the questions we are asked most.

What are the room and bed options, and what do they cost?

King + Sofa Suite: $2,599 for up to four people, two suites total. Two Queen Suite: $2,499 for up to four people, four suites total. Two Queens + Sofa Suite: $2,899 for up to six people, one suite total. Prices are for the entire suite for three nights, including meals and sessions for registered guests. Low Bed — No Ladder: $749 per person. Bottom or Middle Bunk: $599 per person. Top Bunk: $499 per person. Floor Mattress: $399 per person. Day Passes: $99 for Saturday, January 30 only, or $299 for all four days, January 28–31; neither includes lodging. Availability below reflects existing reservations. ADA king suites are reserved for the internal team and are not offered for sale.

What does every price include?

Every pass or package includes sessions, meals, snacks, drinks, and access to shared gathering spaces on the days it covers. The $99 Saturday Only Day Pass covers January 30 only. The $299 All-Days Day Pass covers January 28–31. Neither day pass includes lodging. Overnight packages include the three nights at Cedar Rose as well as the gathering days.

What happens if the bed type I want is already gone?

Each bed type is a fixed number of real beds in the house. Once a type sells out, the page marks it sold out and you can't select it. If the whole house fills before you register, we'll book a second house nearby rather than turn anyone away.

Are the bunk rooms and attic lounge mixed?

No. Every bunk room, and the attic lounge's floor mattresses, are split into a men's side and a women's side. You're always with your own gender in a shared room; couples share their suite.

I can't manage stairs, or I can't climb into a bunk. What should I do?

Tell us at registration — there are boxes on the form for a ground-floor room and for a bottom bunk, and we read every one of them. If a ladder is the problem, choose and pay for a Bottom Bunk or a Middle Bunk rather than a Top Bunk, so the bed you need is the bed you hold. If stairs are the problem, mark the ground-floor box and we will place you on the main level where we can. These are requests, not reservations — we can't guarantee any particular bed or room, but we place by need before we place by order, and we will do all we reasonably can.
